DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Monitors, troubleshoots and controls all centralized data center computer systems and auxiliary equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and performance in an environment requiring continuous shift coverage. Identifies, diagnoses and resolves, or collaborates in the resolution of, equipment or program problems and failures. Develops and maintains operational records and documentation. Demonstrates commitment to improving operations, decreasing turnaround times, streamlining work processes, and working cooperatively in a virtual environment to provide quality and seamless customer service. Ensure all jobs and activity on the AS400/Mainframe/Intel servers are performing to ensure 24/7 uptime promoting Keep the Lights On
Monitor all jobs and activity on the AS400/Mainframe/Distributed servers Proactive Monitoring (predictive measures)
Monitoring for all Backup reporting failures and opening CSD tickets
Print appropriate reports scheduled and requested
Provide data for IT audits (SOX)
Log and document all IT requests
Support SLAs
Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor
REQUIREMENTS:
Associate degree in computer science or Technical degree with pertinent work experience in the industry preferred.
Knowledge of AS400/iSeries or Mainframe
Must be able to work a third shift schedule (11:30 pm to 7:30 am from Sunday to Thursday)
Knowledge of Windows Desktop operating systems.
Excellent communication skills
