Essential Job function:
Engage individuals in a welcoming, hopeful, empathetic manner even during acute phase.
Screen for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
Implement integrated strength based assessment(s) interviews to assess the presence, onset, symptoms and patterns of substance use, behavioral and psychiatric disorders.
Assess for acute needs and risk and provide/arrange for appropriate stage wise intervention.
In the presence of two disorders, evaluation will be made of the interaction between the two, as well as the relationship of each to significant life events.
Demonstrate the knowledge of diagnostic criteria for psychiatric and substance use disorders.
Performs assessments for diagnostic purposes, interviews individuals and others related to the case, and reviews.
Records the assessment treatment plan, progress and other significant information regarding the individual for agency case records.
Participates as a team member on a diagnostic team for the purpose of developing joint clinical assessments of individuals.
Reviews case records of the agency for quality, appropriateness and progress of treatment plans.
Collaborates and communicates with other providers (MH and SA) and supports to ensure continued care.
Provides, therapeutic intervention on a limited, short term basis.
Offers crisis intervention as needed and individual, and group therapy.
Evaluates the progress of individuals on an on-going basis.
Performs assessments for diagnostic purposes, interviews individuals and others related to the case, and reviews applicable case history to determine needs.
Analyzes clinical histories for diagnostic purposes, and develops individualized treatment plans for individuals.
May perform case management functions and act as a liaison with school and/or vocational personnel and other community agencies to refer individuals, formulate and execute treatment plans, and provide educational and consultative services.
Responsible for authorizing medically necessary services for all individuals.
Provide education and consultative services to help individuals, families and support persons to understand the disorder(s), the phases of recovery, service options and course of treatment.
Clinicians will encourage participation in 12-step, DRA, peer support, and link to community supports.
Clinicians will also provide support, education and reinforce the use of prescribed medication to treat both substance use and/or psychiatric disorders.
Develop treatment plans for SA, MH and COD that are individualized and person-centered and reflect proper treatment matching.
Specific goals, objectives and stage/phase specific treatment interventions are identified for each assessed need.
If deferred, the reason for doing so is identified.
Community resources and supports are prioritized as a strategy to assist individuals with meeting their needs.
Assist individuals with identifying changes in behavior, attitude, feeling and thought that are triggers for relapse.
Assist in the development of a relapse prevention/crisis plan utilizing personal, community and provider supports.
Demonstrates knowledge of principles of trauma informed care.
Willingness to support and assist individuals with trauma related issues Minimum Qualification:
Possess a Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Psychology; AND Have a limited license as a Psychologist from the State of Michigan Department of Consumer and Industry Services (LLP) or possess a full license as a Psychologist (LP) from the State of Michigan Department of Consumer and Industry Services(grandfatherd); OR Possess a Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Social Work; AND Have an LMSW from the State of Michigan Department of Consumer and Industry Services; OR Possess a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Counseling; AND have a license as a professional counselor (LPC ) from the State of Michigan Department of Consumer and Industry Services; AND Must meet qualifications of a Mental Health Professional (MHP) per the Michigan PIHP/CMHSP Provider Qualifications per Medicaid Services.
The following must be met for those working with the OSAS Consumers:
a.
Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) or Limited Licensed Master's Social Worker (LLMSW); Limited Licensed Psychologist (LLP) or Temporary Limited LicensedPsychologist (TLLP); Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC); AND have a current registered development plan leading to certifications with timely implementation, OR currently functioning under a time-limited exception plan approved by the Substance Abuse Coordinating Agency (SACA); ORb.
Possess one of the following Michigan Certification Board of Addiction Professionals (MCBAP) or International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium (IC & RC) credentials:

Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor - Michigan (CADC-M)ii.
Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC)iii.
Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC)iv.
Certified Criminal Justice Professional - IC & RC (CCJP-R)v.
Certified Co-Occurring Disorders Professional Diplomat - IC & RC (CCDP-D); ORc.
Certification through the Upper Midwest Indian Council on Addiction Disorders Possess a valid motor vehicle operator or chauffeur's license.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
