4K a year The Human Resource Generalist supports the Human Resources department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations.
The Human Resources Generalist will have both have administrative and strategic responsibilities helping plan and administer important functions, such as training and development, onboarding new team members and employee relations.
This position is located in Southfield, MI at the corporate office (not a remote or hybrid position).
What you'll do Liaises with multiple departments within GEDC to ensure that all the on boarding documents are collected in a timely fashion, disseminated to various departments as needed and updated in the GEDC practice management system.
Ensures all new team members experience a warm, welcoming on-boarding experience to deliver an exceptional first day.
Works with IT to submit proper ticketing for GEDC IT systems access.
Creates new employee files and ensures all paperwork is collected within required timeframes Gathering and filing all paperwork related to new hires, including contracts and non-disclosure agreements.
Makes recommendations and implements new programs and resources needed to enhance new employee experience Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance Administer administrative tasks associated with changes in employment (job changes, status changes, etc.
) and offboarding Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation and leaves; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
Projects as assigned All other tasks requested by Manager What you'll bring to the team The role primarily reports to the Practice Support Center (PSC) in our corporate offices, Southfield Michigan Monday-Friday 8am-5pm High energy, self-confident and enthusiastic--serves as the face of GEDC with new hire doctor candidates.
Ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary setting.
Demonstrates confidence interacting with the team along with the self-awareness to ask for help/escalate issues that require additional assistance and/or attention.
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Successful record of managing multiple tasks that require high level of detail orientation, organization and time management skills.
What we require you have Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or other related degree or relevant equivalent work experience 3 - 5 years of experience within Human Resources or serving as the direct point-of-contact for a large group practice, or regional workforce or similar organization to GEDC, Dental Service Organization (DSO).
