Job Description Interested in a career in online/digital media sales and advertising?
CBS Detroit has an opening for a Digital Sales Associate. The Digital Sales Associate will be an aspiring Digital Account Executive. This position is designed to provide the employee with quality training that will allow them to fully understand the Digital Media and Event Marketing business and CBS Radio products from a sales perspective.
At the end of the program, it is expected that the Digital Sales Associate will be ready to become a full time, experienced Digital Account Executive.
The early stages of this position will be focused on assisting the Digital Sales Manager and learning the backend operations of the CBS digital media products. In addition, this position will also include sales training, learning how to build relationships in media sales, and working with the other departments to gain a broad understanding of the business and skills need to make you a successful Digital Account Executive.
Duties to include but not limited to:
Attend sales meetings and training sessions
Learn how to operate CBS digital ad delivery programs
Assist the Digital Sales team by pulling campaign performance and inventory reports from aforementioned programs
Working directly with the corporate digital ad traffic department to launch new campaigns
Assist Digital Sales team to ensure that all web stats and sales materials are up to date
Generating sales leads through analyzing current trends in the digital marketplace
Use optimization strategies to better serve our clients campaigns
Shadow digital sellers as well as Account Executives on calls and during campaigns
Attend client functions to help grow your network
Brainstorm ideas with sales team
Prepare promotions plans and advertising proposals with the Digital Sales Manager and NTR Manager
Attend sales calls; participate in proposals
Learn quantitative and qualitative research strategies for digital based proposals
Learn how to maintain and service accounts
Investigate and resolve customer problems
Create own client list by seeing entire sales process from initial call in through close and onto maintenance of account
Required Qualifications Must have a valid driver''s license and vehicle insurance.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
