Job Description:
You are organized and professional with strong leadership skills, and really shine when coaching, mentoring, and managing a team. In this role you will be responsible for the oversight and management of campus Student Finance Operations in accordance with federal/state regulations and company policies and procedures. You will perform financial counseling, needs analysis, forms completion, contract disclosure, and all other related processing to ensure student funding of educational expenses. You will also train, develop, and evaluate campus student finance staff to ensure work is performed accurately and efficiently. You will serve as a liaison between students, Campus Support Center, and third party agencies, and make a difference in the lives of many.

Responsibilities:
People Management and Coaching
Assess employee performance, and provide feedback and support development through monthly coaching sessions, quarterly check-ins, and annual reviews for direct-reports; conducting these assessments and coaching sessions are essential components of this role
Make recommendations for individual and team development based on performance reviews, and provide guidance and coaching to direct-reports on an ongoing basis
Initiate, design, and deliver departmental training and developmental activities that cover a variety of topics
Lead the development of criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training programs
Oversee personnel activities, including interviewing, hiring, and terminating employees as necessary, etc.
Encourage professional growth and foster cooperation amongst staff members and departments
Department Operations
Communicate effectively with campus leadership and participate as an active member of the institution's management team
Ensure pro-active communication and cohesive working relationships with all other departments
Lead departmental and team meetings and attend meetings with external and/or internal liaisons as necessary
Communicate updates of financial aid and collection policies and procedures
Manage departmental workflow and allocate key activities
Answer staff questions and resolve escalated issues
Perform other duties as assigned by local leaders
Process Management
Direct internal controls for cash management to support appropriate cash flow levels
Responsible for tracking the allocation of campus-based funds
Assist in the coordination of the institution's response to any internal/external audits related to Student Finance Operations; prepare documentation requirements to meet compliance audit standards
Provide ongoing financial analysis of current operations in order to make strategic/budget recommendations to local or regional administration
Compile, prepare, and analyze monthly reports in support of Student Finance Operations
Implement, monitor, and enforce corporate financial policies and procedures
Attend all applicable training workshops to remain current on company policies and procedures; ensure that assigned personnel attend business-related training
Student Finance Duties
Manage campus Student Finance Operations to ensure financial compliance with company objectives and federal/state regulations
Oversee the Title IV processing of new and continuing student loan and grant applications
Manage the financial aid process to ensure student files are processed in a high-quality manner and funds are processed accurately and in accordance with federal regulations
Monitor all student finance activities to ensure timely file processing, billing, funding, and collections
Inform students of their financial obligation, and the institution's financial options, policies, and procedures as related to their educational expenses; ensure completion of all financial forms, installment notes, and disclosure statements related to student financing and credit terms
Provide customer service and answer student inquiries

## Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
3-5 years experience managing a student finance process within an education environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
3-5 years experience effectively managing staff
3-5 years experience with Title IV programs
Working knowledge of student financial software and operating systems
Ability to analyze and interpret financial data/reports in order to make recommendations regarding campus operations
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook
Demonstrated ability to fulfill Company Key Behaviors
Ability to work assigned/flexible hours necessary to complete the job on a weekly basis
