Sr. Instructional Designer (Temporary-Full Time)

Our Learning & Development team is looking for a Senior Instructional Designer to assist with various projects within the L&D team. If you have experience designing and developing learning materials, we want to talk to you!


OVERVIEW


As a Senior Instructional Designer you'll create instructional solutions that facilitate the rapid acquisition and transfer of knowledge and skills in an effective and engaging manner. You'll also work with subject matter experts to analyze, design, develop and evaluate training and performance support materials.


JOB DUTIES



  1. Conduct training needs analyses, job/task analyses, audience analysis and cost/benefit analyses to ensure learning solutions are targeted and highly effective.

  2. Design and develop effective, efficient, and engaging learning content solutions. Collaborate with customers, SMEs, and team members based on changing business needs; review and recommend changes to Sun's policies and procedures as needed.

  3. Pilot and revise training materials in various formats, such as instructor-led, facilitated courses, self-directed online training courses, webinars, instructional videos, simulations, job-aids, and train-the-trainer.

  4. Evaluate training effectiveness, document findings and report impact and results.

  5. Create performance objectives, content outlines, and recommend delivery methods based on resources, project timelines and target audience needs.

  6. Create storyboards for self-directed training and instructor/participant materials for instructor-led and facilitated training.

  7. Develop and maintain Knowledge Base information for company business processes, policies, and procedures.

  8. Monitor and support web 2.0/social communication and collaboration regarding course content (chat, discussion groups, wikis, etc.).

  9. Other duties and special projects as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, or related field. Master's degree preferred

  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience analyzing, designing, developing and evaluating learning materials

  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience authoring engaging e-learning, creating and editing video & audio, and publishing SCORM-based content

  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience developing effective written materials, processes and procedures

  • Experience with style guides and quality standards preferred

  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems. Programming experience preferred

  • Basic HTML coding experience, a plus

  • Strong attention to detail, customer service, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues

  • Ability to work effectively as a collaborate team with diverse groups/audiences, including those in remote locations

  • Ability to work independently

  • Excellent computer proficiency including the ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel), email and internet


Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
