UX Designer - Temporary (Temporary-Full Time)

OVERVIEW
As a UX Designer, you'll collaborate with the Web Producer & UI Designer to facilitate stakeholders' visions by researching, conceiving, wire-framing, sketching, prototyping and mocking-up user experiences for the new website.
JOB DUTIES
- Participate in web development process including planning, design, development and deployment of the website.
- Ensure website connects business goals to customers' needs.
- Design and develop personas, user stories and site structure.
- Produce highly usable and visually engaging wireframes, templates, mockups, prototypes, site maps and supplemental functional requirement documents and specifications necessary to build website.
- Lead customer end-user testing and analysis.
- Consult with stakeholders to understand their goals and explain research results.
- Make user-experience decisions related to core, new functions and features.
- Conduct competitive analysis for hospitality industry best practices.
- Analyze user feedback and activity, and iterate to enhance user experience across a wide range of devices and interfaces.
- Define and ensure site's security, stability, availability and compliance with various codes and laws.
- Collaborate with Web Producer & UI Designer, Front-End Developer, Back-End Developer and other team members on project as necessary.
- Assist with content development and graphic design as needed.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Visual Design, OR equivalent education and experience
- Minimum 2-3 years UX design experience, including designing complex solutions for complete digital environments
- Minimum 1-2 years WordPress experience
- Solid understanding of graphic design and web technologies
- Prior experience with UX Software such as Axure RP, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Framer.js or Quartz Composer
- Basic HTML5, CSS and JavaScript skills, a plus
- Proficiency with design programs and tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks and InVision
- Extensive experience using UX design best practices to design solutions
- In-depth understanding of mobile-first and responsive design
- Solid grasp of user-centered design and testing methodologies, subsystems and usability and accessibility concerns
- Working knowledge of cutting-edge digital technologies
- Excellent communication, time-management and process-management skills
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Flexibility to quickly shift priorities based on business demands
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
