HSE Coordinator

Specific responsibilities could include but are not limited to the following:
Serve as the Safety Coordinator and communicate with other TG HSE Representatives in the Detroit areas offices and operations site.
Provide support the Commercial Operations Management Team and the TG HSE manager in effective implementation of safety system processes and BZ Culture.
Conduct safety training at our operations and maintenance sites in accordance to regulatory and Jacobs requirements to maintain a skilled and compliant workforce.
Perform safety inspections and audits to evaluate culture and identify areas of improvement
Work with operations sites to facilitate safety improvements and to evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions taken
Conduct incident investigations to determine the root cause and support development and ensure implementation of corrective actions.
Maintain safety records for sites/offices for which responsibility has been given and perform trend analysis on safety metrics.
Serve as liaison with external parties on matter relating to safety
This position requires two (2) years of colleges with course in Safety, Engineering or other technical field or at least six (6) years of relevant experience. Experience in safety program implementation and oversight, and/or facilities operations and maintenance is required.

This job will involve work in both an office environment and at operations sites. It is estimated that approximately 20 of work will be performed in an office environment and the remainder at a project or site location.
Observation of or participation in activities performed at our operations and maintenance sites will sometimes be required in order to develop an in-depth understanding of work processes, hazards, etc.
This job will require frequent travel to site locations in the Detroit area and occasional trips to support offices/sites in other areas. Trips outside of the Detroit area are estimated to occur approximately 4 times per year and will typically be 2 to 3 day trips.
